The FLC provides emerging leaders the opportunity to hone their leadership skills, address critical issues that impact the industry through NIC’s initiatives and develop a network of trusted associates and resources.
“Members of the FLC collectively represent the best and the brightest who are committed both to the mission and work of NIC and to advancing the products and services available to meet the housing and care needs of America’s seniors,” said Robert Kramer, NIC’s CEO.
This year, FLC members have worked alongside NIC Board leaders on key task forces and committees including:
- NIC Research Committee
- University Internship Program
- Skilled Nursing Data Initiative
- Debt-Lender Survey Initiative
- National Conference Planning Committee
- Spring Forum Planning Committee
In addition, the FLC has developed its own Idea Lab through which each year FLC members develop and propose to NIC leadership new initiatives to further advance NIC’s mission.
The FLC is comprised of professionals from some of the leading companies in the seniors housing and care and finance sectors. Members serve three-year terms and meet as a group quarterly for leadership development and to work on NIC-sponsored initiatives and programs. They are nominated by senior level executives within their respective companies and are required to complete a detailed application and participate in an interview as requested by the FLC Oversight Committee.
