Tom is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Benchmark Senior Living, the largest provider of senior housing in the Northeast. Benchmark's 50 communities total $1.6 billion in value, $400 million in annual revenue and employ 4,800 associates.

For the last six years, Benchmark has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Places to Work by The Boston Globe. Tom was recognized as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003 for Real Estate/Hospitality in New England, and has been honored with the First Annual International Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the YPO. Tom is active in many professional organizations and is one of the founders and past chairman of the national trade association, the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).Tom is also Chair of the Board of Ithaca College, Chair of the Board of The Meadowbrook School of Weston and Vice Chair of the Board of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

He is an active member and former Board member of the Young Presidents? Organization (YPO), and served for many years on the vestry and as Chair of the Building Committee at the renowned Trinity Church in the City of Boston.
