McKenzie Sauer serves as Senior Director of Health Services at Brightwater Senior Living, where she provides executive-level clinical leadership across a portfolio of assisted living and memory care communities in the United States and Canada. In this role, she sets clinical strategy, quality standards, and compliance frameworks organization-wide, and mentors community-level Health Services Directors in delivering safe, resident-centered care.
McKenzie's career in senior living spans over two decades. She began working as a caregiver early in her career, gaining firsthand experience in direct resident care, and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2016. From there, she advanced through progressively broader leadership roles, including Resident Care Manager, Health Services Director, and Executive Director, where she held full operational responsibility for community budgets, staffing, regulatory compliance, and resident care outcomes. This path from bedside caregiving through community operations to system-wide executive oversight gives her a comprehensive, ground-up understanding of senior living.
