Kurt Read is a Principal at RSF Partners, where he co-manages the firm and leads strategic initiatives. RSF is a real estate private equity firm actively investing through RSF Fund VIII in senior care and niche commercial real estate.

Over the past two decades, RSF has applied a value-based approach to investing in real estate assets and platforms focused on specialized strategies, including senior living (200+ senior living and care properties, plus several operating, development, and management companies), distressed commercial real estate loans (including a platform investment in a special servicer of defaulted CMBS loans and individual asset investments), and last-mile distribution assets in major European cities.

Mr. Read has invested in real estate and real estate-related operating companies for more than 30 years and has served as a director of private and public real estate companies, including Bristol Hotels and Resorts, The Forum Group, Inc., and Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc.

Prior to RSF, Mr. Read co-founded Javelin Capital, a sponsor and developer of senior living and nursing facilities, and was a Partner at The Hampstead Group, a Dallas-based private equity fund investing in distressed real estate, senior living, and hospitality.

Mr. Read is a graduate of Cornell University. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) and Chairman of the Board of NIC MAP Vision, the leading provider of data services to the senior living and care sector. He also co-founded the MVP Foundation, which provides scholarships to working healthcare professionals for advanced training.
