Alexis Fermanis is Chief Marketing Officer for NIC, where she leads marketing strategy, brand positioning, audience growth, and demand generation, strengthening NIC’s visibility and advancing its role as a trusted source for data, insights, education, and connections across the senior housing and care sector. She oversees integrated marketing efforts for NIC’s conferences, research, thought leadership, sponsorship, digital channels, and new audience growth initiatives, with a focus on connecting industry leaders with the information and relationships that support informed decision-making.
Alexis brings extensive experience developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives across brand, communications, content, demand generation, website development, social media, creative direction, and event promotion. Her work spans the commercial real estate, interior design, association, and nonprofit sectors, with a focus on building integrated campaigns that elevate visibility, engage priority audiences, and support organizational growth. Prior to joining NIC, she led marketing for the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, where she spent 15 years guiding successful brand, event, content, and audience engagement strategies.
A graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Alexis has been recognized as a leading woman in commercial real estate marketing. She is also the author of the children’s book The Very Different Dinosaur, a former Division I lacrosse player, and lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons.
