Course Overview

Since transactions typically involve large sums of money and significant commitment, every transaction in our industry must follow a legal process and generate the necessary paperwork to protect both parties. This course, which is based on a real-world case study, will break down one transaction in detail, to provide you with an authentic acquisitions-focused experience.

What you will learn:

  • Introduction to the acquisitions-focused module, which will outline the necessary steps to purchase a property
  • Discussion of mortgage loans, touching on the various items involved in acquiring a loan, such as the LOI, required credit metrics, and the loan agreement
  • Overview of the development process, including the scope of work, proformas, zoning, agreements and contracts, and construction financing
  • Sale leasebacks, detailing the involved agreements
  • Case study to provide our candidates with an authentic acquisitions-focused experience
  • Emerging trends and innovation module
