Lisa McCracken to join NIC as Head of Research & Analytics
Nationally recognized expert in senior housing, corporate finance and healthcare to provide actionable insights and thought leadership to improve choices for older adults
ANNAPOLIS (August 23, 2023) – The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) has named senior living and healthcare expert Lisa S. McCracken head of research and analytics, effective October 1.
McCracken will oversee NIC’s research and analytics team, who develops actionable, data-driven insights on industry challenges and opportunities. She will drive a robust research agenda with nationally recognized partners to help the next generation of senior housing and care leaders address evolving and dramatically different consumer preferences and needs. She will also showcase practical examples of how organizations nationwide are embracing opportunities to meet the demands of a changing marketplace.
“Lisa’s unique background in senior housing, finance, and healthcare gives her the perfect mix of knowledge, skills and leadership to propel NIC forward during a period of industry-wide challenges and opportunities,” said Susan Barlow, chair of NIC’s board of directors. “At every stage of her career, Lisa has distinguished herself by embracing the toughest assignments and developing data-driven solutions to help stakeholders make complicated business decisions with confidence. McCracken currently works as director of senior living research and development with Ziegler, a leading investment bank for senior housing and care, where she oversees research staff supporting the senior living, senior housing and related corporate finance healthcare practices. She is a nationally recognized thought leader and primary researcher for the LeadingAge Ziegler 200, Ziegler CFO Hotline, and other industry-wide publications.

McCracken began her career as a research analyst at Holleran, a healthcare and aging services research and consulting firm, where she was successively promoted to become vice president of research, managing partner and ultimately president between 2009 and 2013.
