Sophia Lukas joined St. Paul’s Senior Services (SPSS) in 2023 as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). St. Paul’s serves residents and participants in multilevel care communities, skilled nursing and through comprehensive medical and social services in Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). In July 2025, St. Paul's affiliated with TRU Community Care in Colorado. TRU provides a continuum of care through hospice and palliative care, grief services, PACE and memory care. Together, the affiliated organizations will serve more than 5,000 people annually and employ approximately 1,130 staff. They will focus on developing new healthcare delivery models, expanding telehealth capabilities, and investing in person-centered, community-based care that adapts to the evolving needs of aging populations.
Sophia returned to St. Paul’s after serving in several different roles over the years. Growing up, she spent many hours volunteering for SPSS, where she did her Administrator-in-Training program, and later, served as the Administrator of St. Paul’s Plaza. Sophia has in-depth experience in healthcare operations, management, and strategy. She has led established senior living programs, as well as start-up operations.
Prior to returning to SPSS, Sophia was with WellQuest Living, a start-up senior living company with communities in California. In her role as Vice President of Operations, she managed large teams at established, as well as newly constructed, senior living communities. There she improved financial performance through census growth and expense management, cultivated leadership, and brought on new communities for the organization during the pandemic. Sophia also spent a number of years as an Administrator, Executive Director and Vice President of Operations with HumanGood, overseeing a portfolio of life plan communities as well as the organization’s procurement program.
