Sarah Peerson serves as a Managing Director in Wells Fargo Bank’s (WFB) Commercial Real Estate platform. She has 18 years of experience in commercial real estate loan originations and has specialized in healthcare real estate for the past 10 years, including seniors housing, medical office, and life science assets. Sarah leads Wells Fargo’s Healthcare Real Estate Group, managing a team of 12 overseeing, at its height, a $4 billion loan portfolio to developers, operators and institutional equity partners that invest in the healthcare sector. Her expertise ranges from single-asset bilateral term loans to complex syndicated construction facilities.
She collaborates across business lines with her counterparts in investment banking, GSE originations, CMBS originations, rates and treasury groups to serve Wells Fargo’s clients in the healthcare sector. She actively participates in recruiting efforts for Wells Fargo and has served on various remediation effort committees and promotion committees for the company. Additionally, Sarah was a member of NIC’s Future Leader’s Council from September 2017 – September 2020 serving as Vice Chair (2018/2019) and Chair (2019/2020).
Prior to joining the Healthcare Real Estate Group, Sarah was a member of WFB’s Hospitality Finance Group. Sarah began her career at Wells Fargo in the Special Situations Group managing portfolios of troubled real estate loans. She holds a Master’s of Science in Finance from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from the University of South Florida. Sarah lives in Charlotte, NC and has two boys, Hart and Davis, with her husband, Michael.
