Courtney Nickels

Chief Operating Officer / Artemis Real Estate Partners

Ms. Nickels serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Healthcare business at Artemis Real Estate Partners, where she is responsible for the strategy, growth, and performance of the healthcare business line. In addition to her operating responsibilities, Ms. Nickels is actively involved in transactions, including the acquisition of core-plus and value-add equity investments, debt origination, and asset management.

Ms. Nickels joined Artemis in 2018 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining Artemis, she held an acquisitions role with Formation Capital, where she participated in more than $1.8 billion in healthcare real estate transactions. Earlier in her career, she held real estate acquisitions positions with The JBG Companies and J.E. Robert Companies (JER Partners).

Ms. Nickels earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Management from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, where she remains actively involved. Ms. Nickels has served on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committees for both Artemis and the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC). Ms. Nickels is also a past Vice Chair of the NIC Future Leaders Council.

Ms. Nickels currently serves on the NIC Fall Conference Program Committee and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA). Ms. Nickels also serves on Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Emerging Leaders (ELC) Board.
