Board elects five new members, representing diverse industry perspectives that complement the experience and knowledge of the NIC board during a time of unprecedented conditions in the seniors housing and care sector
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (February 23, 2021)—The Board of Directors for the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) announced its recent elections of new board members.
The board elected Robert Chapin, Partner at Bridge Investment Group, and Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Seniors Housing Fund Manager, LLC; Lynne Katzmann, CEO, Juniper Communities; Cindy Kent, Executive Vice President and President, Senior Living, Brookdale Senior Living; Kelsey Mellard, Chief Executive Officer, Sitka; and Steven Schmidt, National Director, Senior Housing Lending, Freddie Mac.
“We are pleased to welcome new members to our Board of Directors. The seniors housing and care sector faces tremendous challenges, and we appreciate the vast knowledge and industry experience these individuals offer, along with their commitment to help NIC continue to fulfill its mission to support access and choice for America’s seniors,” said Kurt Read, Board Chair.
