Kate Sammler is Vice President of Corporate Operations at Vantage Point Retirement Living, a family-founded and privately held senior living operator with communities across Pennsylvania and Delaware. With more than 13 years of direct experience in the industry, she represents the second generation of Vantage Point leadership, following in the footsteps of her parents, Greg and Rita Stevens, who founded the company. This legacy provides her with a unique hands-on perspective, combining operational expertise with a broad understanding of the senior living industry and the value that strong management companies bring to residents, families, and investors.
In her role, Ms. Sammler oversees strategic operations, sales and marketing performance, and financial outcomes across the company’s portfolio. She has been instrumental in the planning, opening, and stabilization of new communities, including the successful launch of five senior living communities within just four years—an achievement that highlights her ability to align market strategy, operational execution, and financial performance.
Ms. Sammler is recognized for her data-driven approach to census growth and performance management, implementing systems that strengthen inquiry-to-move-in conversions and drive sustainable occupancy. She also prioritizes leadership development and employee engagement, fostering a culture of accountability, service, and innovation across the organization.
A graduate of Penn State University, Ms. Sammler earned both her undergraduate degree and MBA, along with a leadership development certificate. She brings to the NIC Capital for Operations Committee a balanced expertise in operations, sales, and finance, paired with a forward-looking perspective on the evolving senior living landscape. She is committed to advancing NIC’s mission by sharing best practices, contributing innovative solutions, and helping strengthen the connection between operational excellence and capital performance.
