Working Remotely

Completing nearly all duties from home or from an off-site workplace is an arrangement that NIC has established for staff to enable them to achieve a more successful balance between work responsibilities and personal life. This flexibility provides staff the opportunity to be productive while working from home or remotely.

Reimbursement

NIC maintains a professional development and tuition reimbursement program to support all staff to pursue professional development activities to increase their job skills for their current positions as well as their longer-term careers. A variety of activities are supported, including conference attendance, certification courses, workshops, seminars, book purchases, and more.

Reduced Summer Hours

Why not start the weekend early! We close our offices at 3 pm on Fridays from Memorial Day through Labor Day every year.

Family Leave

Our staff are eligible to receive 4 weeks of paid Parental and Caregiver Leave if he or she becomes a parent due to the birth of a child or the placement of a child in connection with adoption or foster care. It may also be used to assist with responsibilities in the care and necessary attention of an ill or injured parent.
