The program provides a new generation of leaders with the opportunity to gain practical experience and career options, while host companies gain access to highly talented graduate and undergraduate students eager to explore careers in the industry.

An initiative of NIC’s Future Leaders Council, the program attracts high-quality applicants for paid summer internships within the industry’s leading REITs, large banks, national and regional operators, private equity firms, and consulting firms. Students may contact their career services department to apply – or can apply directly to posted internships on this website.

Host companies typically submit paid internship opportunities to NIC in late summer. Once opportunities have been carefully screened, NIC posts them to this site and distributes them to partner institutions beginning in September. The recruitment period runs from then until April, with internships beginning in May and June.
