Robert G. Kramer
Chief Executive Officer


Mr. Kramer is founder and Chief Executive Officer of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), a non-profit education and resource center that serves debt and equity investors interested in the seniors housing and long term care industry. NIC is the leading provider of research as well as business and financial performance data on this segment for capital providers. NIC's focus is to advance the quality of seniors housing and care by facilitating informed investment decisions through driving increased transparency for investors. Mr. Kramer, a frequent writer and speaker on trends in seniors housing and long term care, has directed NIC since its inception in 1991.

A former county government official and Maryland state legislator, Mr. Kramer was a leader on health and environmental issues while representing the state capital of Annapolis in the 1980s. Mr. Kramer was educated at Harvard and Oxford Universities and also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.

Beth Burnham Mace
Chief Economist - Director of Capital Markets Outreach


Beth Burnham Mace is the Chief Economist and Director of Capital Markets Outreach at the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC). Prior to joining the staff at NIC, she served as a member of the NIC Board of Directors for 7 years and chaired NIC’s Research Committee. Ms. Mace was also a Director at AEW Capital Management and worked in the AEW Research Group for 17 years. While at AEW, Ms. Mace worked with the firm’s Direct Investment Group and provided primary research support to the organization’s core and value-added investment strategies. Ms. Mace supported the group in underwriting as well as asset and portfolio management decisions. Prior to joining AEW in 1997, Ms. Mace spent ten years at Standard & Poor’s DRI/McGraw-Hill in varying roles, most recently as the Director of the Regional Information Service with responsibility for developing forecasts of economic, demographic, and industry indicators for 314 major metropolitan areas in the U.S. Prior to working at DRI, she spent three years as a Regional Economist at the Crocker Bank in San Francisco. Ms. Mace has also worked at the National Commission on Air Quality, the Brookings Institution and Boston Edison. She is a member of the National Association of Business Economists (NABE) and New England Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE). Ms. Mace is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College (B.A.) and the University of California (M.S.).

Charles W. Harry, Jr.
Managing Director and Director of Research & Analytics


Chuck Harry is responsible for guiding all of NIC’s research efforts, including the analysis function of the NIC MAP service. Prior to joining NIC in 2010, he worked at Cushman & Wakefield, where he held the positions of managing director, Investment Strategies, and managing director, Analytics.

His 20+ year career is comprised of institutional investment management across the various property types with an emphasis on the apartment/multifamily sector. Early on, he helped solidify the apartment sector as one of the core property types for institutional investors. At the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), where he was director of real estate, Chuck expanded the association’s product lines with new indices and developed public outreach as well as market education programs. At Cushman & Wakefield, in addition to forecasting and monitoring economic and real estate market trends, he helped establish global infrastructures to facilitate cross-border transactions and the firm's emerging investment management operations.

Chuck received his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received a Bachelor of City Planning from the University of Virginia, School of Architecture.
