Robert G. Kramer
President

Mr. Kramer helped found and today directs the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry, a nonprofit educational and research forum dealing with the process of efficient capital formation for the senior care industries.

A frequent writer and speaker on trends in seniors housing and long term care, Mr. Kramer also serves as president of Kramer·Crosby, an Annapolis-based consulting firm providing strategic marketing services for the health care and seniors housing industries.

A former county government official and Maryland state legislator, Mr. Kramer has served on the Board of Directors for the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).

Mr. Kramer was educated at Harvard and Oxford Universities and also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.

Elisa Infante Freeman
Vice President, Events & Marketing

Ms. Freeman heads all event, marketing and sponsorship efforts for NIC, including the highly successful Annual Conference that attracts 1,600 participants each year, the newly created Western Regional Symposium for regional/local operators and lenders, as well as all other organization meetings and sponsored events. Ms. Freeman came to NIC in 1999 with previous experience in conference floor management at the Madison Hotel in Washington, DC as well as event management, marketing and sales experience with such organizations as NASDA in Washington, DC and the Convention Management Group in Fairfax, Virginia.

Ms. Freeman is a member of the American Society of Association Executives as well as the Professional Convention Management Association and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Michael Hargrave
Vice President, NIC MAP

Mr. Hargrave leads NIC’s Market Area Profiles (NIC MAP) data and analysis service, the industry’s only comprehensive database of seniors housing supply/demand fundamentals on the nation’s top 100 metro markets. Since he joined NIC in January 2005, The NIC MAP service has added over 700 registered users and more than doubled the number of subscribers. Mr. Hargrave is also a frequent speaker at seniors housing and real estate conferences.

Mr. Hargrave has over 14 years of experience in seniors housing and care. In 1992, he co-founded Health Care Plus, Inc., a full-service executive recruitment and consulting firm, whose clients included many of the largest owners/operators in the industry. He holds a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in finance from Loyola College in Maryland, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Lawrence J. Horan, Ph.D.
Financial Research & Analysis Director

Dr. Horan leads the research efforts of both NIC and its NIC MAP™ data and analysis service. He came from Parker/Hunter Inc. (now Janney Montgomery Scott), where he was senior vice president and director of the Equity Research Department since 1999. In addition, Dr. Horan spent nine years with Prudential Securities as first vice president and senior research analyst, and six years with Smith Barney as vice president and senior building analyst. Prior to that, he was with Equitable Life as vice president in economic forecasting and investment analysis.

Dr. Horan has received professional recognition from Institutional Investor magazine as an "All-America Team Research Analyst" in seven annual surveys of institutional investors. He received his Doctorate in Economics from Columbia University, specializing in econometrics and finance, and his work in economics has been published in several economic journals. He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Santa Clara.
