Since NIC incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization in 1993, we have benefited from the strong leadership of the NIC Officers, the Board of Directors, Committees, NIC staff, and the FLC, which drive the various initiatives that bring such value to the seniors housing and care industry.

Brad Razook

Chair

Brad Razook is President of CSCA Capital Advisors LLC, and oversees all of CSCA’s merchant banking, restructuring, mergers and acquisition, and corporate finance activities. From July of 1997 to March 1999, Brad was managing director and head of Healthcare Investment Banking at Schroder & Co. Inc. Prior to joining Schroder & Co. Brad was executive vice president and head of Investment Banking at NatWest Markets N.A., the U.S. investment banking arm of National Westminster Bank PLC. Brad joined NatWest in March of 1990 and served as Head of Equity Capital Markets and of the REIT and Healthcare Investment Banking Group prior to taking on responsibility for all of NatWest Markets U.S. investment banking activities. From March 1985 to March 1990, Brad was first vice president and counsel of Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated, where he worked with the firm’s real estate, government and mortgage-backed securities, equity and international divisions, before his assignment to the firm’s Beverly Hills-based high yield bond department in August of 1989. From June 1982 to February 1985, Brad was vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Brean Murray Foster Securities and its affiliated investment management company and mutual fund.

Brad received a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University, and is a graduate of The Choate School. He formerly served as a trustee of the Rye Country Day School. From 1977–1979, he was a contributing editor of National Lampoon Magazine, where he authored a monthly piece entitled “Lives of the Great”.

Jim Seymour

Secretary

Jim Seymour is Senior Managing Director for the Capital One Healthcare. In this role, Jim is responsible for leading the healthcare real estate business, providing debt financing and equity for the senior housing, skilled nursing, medical office, and specialty healthcare property sectors.

Jim has held various positions within GE focused primarily on corporate development and finance. Most recently, Jim led the Business Development/M&A team for GE Capital Americas, where he was responsible for all M&A activity and new vendor financing program development. Prior to that role, Jim spent three years as the Business Development Leader of GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services, where he closed over $3 billion in related asset acquisitions and divestitures in the healthcare space.

Robert G. Kramer

CEO

Bob Kramer is founder and president of the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC), a non-profit education and resource center that serves debt and equity investors interested in the seniors housing and long term care industry. Bob, a frequent writer and speaker on trends in seniors housing and long term care, has directed NIC since its inception in 1991.

A former county government official and Maryland state legislator, Bob was a leader on healthcare and environmental issues while representing the state capital of Annapolis in the 1980s. Bob was educated at Harvard and Oxford Universities and also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.
