NIC and ASHA have collaborated to produce a definitive overview of construction activity in the 75 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. The report, 2006 NIC/ASHA Seniors Housing Construction Trends Report, contains a detailed count of all construction activity in senior apartments, independent living, assisted living, dementia care, nursing home and CCRC properties as of March 2006. Construction activity is reported by product type, both in absolute numbers and as a percentage of existing supply, across the top 75 metropolitan markets and for each individual market. Key findings from the report were released at the 16th Annual NIC Conference in Chicago.
